Goals of the project

The primary goal of this website was to create a new and immersive experience that has not yet been seen before. It needed to be original and about the animals. The vision? it needed to feel like you were traveling through the rainforest. We didn't want this a typical boring website that just listed out products. We wanted it to offer real value and be fun for the user to navigate and browse animals and pages.

Solutions

The website was completely custom built. We designed the website to be image led, showcasing the animals and natural habitats. We created Care Guides to add real value to the website. Users could find any animal and view the care guide which we made sure was easy to read and digest by the use of icons and supporting imagery. We built the website using Gatsby.js, this is a static site generator that helps us fully optimise the website for performance, seo and lighting fast speeds. Just browse the website and you’ll see how fast we are talking! Our second biggest focus was making sure the website was suitable for ranking on google. We performed a SEO audit to ensure we had the best chance of ranking the website and the targeted keywords. We are continuing our SEO efforts with an ongoing campaign to target high quality keywords. By producing a website that adds real value to the Exotic Pet community along with lightning fast speeds and optimisation we’re confident we’ll be able to attain first page ranking for highly competitive keywords within 6 months.
